Dear Mom and Dad,
We were glad to have your child attend our AWANA club on Friday night. If you have other children, they are also invited to one of our AWANA clubs.
Our AWANA clubs are:
- Cubbies: Three- and four-year-old boys and girls (must be three before August 1, 2018)
- Sparks: Kindergarteners- through second-grade boys and girls.
- Truth and Training: Third- through six-grade boys and girls.
All clubs meet weekly on Friday evenings, 7:30 to 9:15 pm. Our Awana clubs are among thousands of AWANA clubs in churches around the world, but the only Chinese church in St Louis area serving this ministry. These church-based, community clubs are open to all youth and have children attending from many different faiths and churches. While your child is not required to attend the functions of our church, all of our church services and opportunities are available to your family.
An AWANA club meeting consists of several parts including time for games, achievements, and a bible story time. More than 20 trained adults are involved in our clubs and programs. While our facilities and equipment are supplied by our church, each clubber should bring 25 cents weekly dues to help raising a mission fund to a designated ministry to be determined later.
Your child has brought home an entrance booklet, which is the first step in AWANA achievement. We hope that you will help your child complete this booklet in the next one to three weeks.
After completing the entrance booklet, your child is eligible to earn more awards as a member of his or her AWANA club. We will also present the vest/uniform to your child in our opening ceremony and we will be honored if you can attend. We want to work with you in providing balanced physical, social, mental and spiritual activities for your child.
If you don’t already attend a church, we invite you to visit ours. Sunday school meets at 9:30 am with classes for children/youth. The worship service for adult meet at 9:30 am and children at 11:10 am. While AWANA is in process, there is also adult fellowship downstairs and you are welcome to join them (I can introduce you to the fellowship). We invite you to come as a visitor and leave as a friend.
